Thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers, and generous supporters who helped us crush our goal, raising $145,000 to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. Check back soon for more details about our 27th Annual Golf Classic, scheduled for September 2023!
THE PHILADELPHIA COACHES VS. CANCER PROGRAM
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches uniting basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. In Philadelphia, our donors, sponsors, and volunteers have made a huge impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families by raising over $18 million since the program began in 1996.
The Coaches vs. Cancer Philadelphia Golf Classic honors the memory of former Temple Men's Basketball Coach, Jim Maloney. In his 14 years behind the bench with former Coach John Chaney, Maloney mentored future NBA players like Aaron McKie, Eddie Jones, and his son, Matt Maloney. His presence in the Philadelphia basketball community is missed.

The American Cancer Society
Over 130 influential corporate and civic leaders from Philadelphia will participate in the Golf Classic to raise funds for the American Cancer Society and continue the lifesaving work in the fight against cancer. After a century of saving lives, the American Cancer Society is continuing to attack cancer from every angle.
